Record vaccination against Covid-19 in Mumbai, 29.5 lakh doses administered in September

In the month of September, 29,51,157 doses of Covid-19 vaccine were administered in Mumbai.

A total of 1,23,11,541 doses have been administered in Mumbai so far. Mumbai has the highest rate of vaccination among cities with a population of over 1 million.

From May 2021 to September 2021, 98,63,423 people have been vaccinated considering the government, municipal and private centers together. 52,48,715 doses were given by the government and municipal centers and 46,14,708 doses were given at private centers.

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has said that it has been making continuous efforts to vaccinate more and more citizens in Mumbai.

The corporation has also made conscious efforts to reach out to all groups of the society.

Special centers like drive-in vaccinations for senior citizens, home-based vaccinations for bedridden citizens, persons with disabilities, tribals, prisoners in prisons, those going abroad for education/employment, citizens in the LGBT community were organised. Only women vaccination drive was also organised in the city.
