Victoria has recorded 1,069 new local COVID-19 cases and two deaths. 

There are now 11,393 active cases of the virus in Victoria, and 597 people have died during the current Delta outbreak. 

There are 310 people in hospital with the virus in Victoria, of whom 74 are in intensive care and 37 are on a ventilator.

The health department said a further 41 people are in ICU but their infections are no longer considered active.

The new cases were detected from 67,312 test results received yesterday.

There were 2,357 doses of vaccine administered at state-run sites yesterday, as well as more vaccinations at GP clinics and other venues.
