(PA)

The @missingmylocal campaign is already live on instagram, which will sees brands and individuals try to recreate the food and drink they miss at their favourite local hangout.

The campaign is hoping to raise £5,000 for the charity Refugee Action, which supports refugees and people seeking asylum in Britain.

How it works:

Step 1 – TOAST POST – recreate a moment you can’t currently experience, a symbolic ‘toast’ to your local – an inspired cocktail or meal – from your favourite pub, bar, restaurant, coffee shop, hotel, etc, even your gym. Post an image of your creation on Insta/social – it must tag the venue include the tag @MissingMyLocal it can also include names of the friends you wish to socialise with, once this is all over.

Step 2 – TAG [NOMINATE] – to keep the message moving – tag 5 people [Ideally a combination of friends other relevant brands that you follow] – asking them to ‘toast, post, donate’

Step 3 – DONATE – include the link to the Virgin Giving page for Hospitality Action – and donate £5.
