Tasmania’s COVID-19 hospitalisations rise to 39, as the state records 625 new cases

Tasmania has recorded 39 COVID-19-related hospitalisations, up from yesterday’s 31, and 625 new cases.

Three patients are in ICU as the state’s total of active cases reaches 5,650.

Authorities confirmed that 16 patients are being treated specifically for COVID-19 symptoms.

And, of the new cases, 386 were identified through a rapid antigen test and 239 through a PCR swab.

In the past 24 hours, 721 patients have been released from quarantine.
