Television presenter Jacqueline Felgate has revealed she’s contracted Covid-19.

The Seven news and sport presenter revealed on Instagram she had tested positive to the virus during the holidays.

‘It’s been nice to be back at work this weekend. While I’ve been answering all your questions I also tested positive for Covid over the holidays,’ Jacqueline said.

She continued: ‘I’m fully recovered and I’m really grateful for the wonderful support from @thealfredhospital (a doctor or nurse rang every day and you also fill out a health questionnaire).’

She also confirmed she was double vaccinated against Covid, but was still waiting for her booster shot.

‘I’m also so thankful for the wonderful friends who helped my family while I was in iso. I’m of course double vaxxed with AZ – but due to the delay for under 40s I wasn’t due for my booster until this week.’

Jacqueline also shared a photo of herself sitting in her car while waiting in a Covid testing line.

It comes after Mel McLaughlin confirmed she caught Covid during the Boxing Day Test.

The shock diagnosis caused Network Seven to replace their entire on-air commentary line-up on December 26 and 27.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, Mel, 42, confirmed that she was fully vaccinated and that the news came as a ‘big shock’.

‘I am double-vaxxed, I’d had the booster shot, I was producing negative daily rapid tests and then on Boxing Day night my PCR test was positive and my dream gig of hosting the Boxing Day Test was over,’ she said.

Mel has been isolating since receiving the diagnosis on the 26th of December, and said she was ‘pretty sick for a couple of days’.
