Nursing Home, Hospital Employees to be Required to Get COVID-19 Booster

Gov. Ned Lamont announced he will sign an executive order Thursday requiring nurses at nursing homes in Connecticut to receive a COVID-19 booster shot.

Those employees must get the booster shot by February 11, according to Lamont.

In addition, hospital workers at hospitals across the state will also be required to get the booster. The Connecticut Hospital Association says it will voluntarily join the state in requiring the extra dose of the vaccine for hospital workers.
